National Conference (NC) President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah, stated on Wednesday that the ruling BJP is non-existent in Kashmir and has also lost its political standing in the Jammu province.
He made these remarks while addressing party functionaries at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, earlier on Wednesday.
“BJP has lost its political foothold and relevance across both the Jammu and Kashmir provinces due to its anti-people policies. They had made numerous promises to the people of the Jammu province but failed to deliver on the ground. The BJP has broken the trust of the people in the region, leaving them feeling deceived. The people are suffering from dilapidated roads, prolonged power cuts, a lack of access to clean drinking water, and a severe shortage of teaching staff in schools,” he said.
Dr Farooq further emphasised that Jammu and Kashmir have weathered numerous conspiracies and attempts to dilute its unique culture and history. He assured that the National Conference would never allow the apologists for communal parties to divide the people for short-term electoral and political gains.
He urged party functionaries to intensify their public outreach efforts and highlight issues concerning the people.
